We hear a lot about celebrities getting taking to the cleaners during divorce proceedings. Tiger Woods, Michael Strahan, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Michael Douglas, Harrison Ford, Michael Jordan, Steven Spielberg all lost huge amounts of money in their divorces.

Apparently Russell Brand is cut from a different cloth because he's refusing to take the $20 millionhe's entitled to in his pending divorce from Katy Perry according to TMZ.

Katy made $44 million between May, 2010 and May, 2011. The couple didn't have a prenup so everything they made during that time period is community property, but Russell doesn't want his50%.

"This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person)," says a source.

Is he nuts for not taking the money?
