Beyond Reazon is my debut album which heavily focuses on my evolution. "How Could I" talks about my introduction to hip-hop (my first love). Hip-Hop played such an important part in my life, but at one point I questioned whether or not I should keep rhyming. I felt discouraged. I was always the puzzle piece that just didn't quite fit. Afraid that my style was too abstract or too different, I put the mic down, but then returned thinking I just might be one of the illest MCs.
"Perseverance" speaks about the struggle of the poor, the forgotten and the oppressed. It speaks about political issues and current events that effect us all. It is a powerful song where I speak from the debts of my heart about the conditions that we live in.
"Each Day" features Planetary from the legendary hip-hop duo Outerspace. This is definitely a throwback! I'm talking alot of battle ish, but it was fun! It's upbeat and lyrical.
"Early Morning Love" it is a love song.....it speaks about being in love with someone that you shouldn't love. Honestly, you can't control it. You love the person unconditionally. After making love, you feel a little confused? Is it really love or is the sex just clouding your mind?
"Come With Me" talks about the struggle to be heard and being a poet. The only way that I can describe being an independent MC is through this song. I feel like I'm in a room crowded with a thousand screaming people, but I'm there pushing through the crowd with a notebook under my arm...I'm trying to make it to the front so that I can climb on the soap box and tell my story...yall gotta listen, I'm screaming, "yall gotta listen".
"Complicated" is my favorite joint on the album next to "Perseverance". I dedicated complicated to my grandmother who passed away in 1998 (I luv u grandmom!) In this song I'm lightly vented about the hood and the violence that poverty breeds, but its smooth and soulful. This was produced by Toma, my favorite out-the-country producer.
This is just a breif overview. I picked these songs to describe. I'll let you decide what's your favorite.
Thanking U in Advance for Support,
